Manolo Blahnik's Upper East Side Walking Tour Offers a Glimpse into the Designer's Neighborhood Haunts

The iconic shoe designer's flagship store on New York's Upper East Side has become synonymous with luxury and style, not least due to its proximity to Carrie Bradshaw's fictional apartment. It comes as no surprise then that Manolo Blahnik has developed a strong affinity for the neighborhood, frequenting various local hotspots over the years. To celebrate the release of Manolo's Maps, a guide highlighting his favorite spots, the brand hosted an exclusive walking tour in partnership with Manhattan historian Keith Taillon.

The guided tour took attendees on a scenic route through some of the city's most beloved landmarks, including Bemelmans Bar, Central Park's Conservatory Water, The Frick Collection, and T. Anthony, among others. As they strolled through the streets, guests had ample opportunity to soak in the area's rich history and cultural significance. The tour culminated at the iconic King Cole Bar, where attendees enjoyed Bloody Marys amidst a sophisticated atmosphere.

The walking tour marked just one of many exciting events planned by Manolo Blahnik this month. Meanwhile, Boucheron has brought its own brand of opulence to Christie's New York with an upcoming exhibition showcasing Frédéric Boucheron's trailblazing designs from 1858 onwards.

The '90s are alive and well at Tate Britain, where a new exhibition is showcasing the decade's creative energy. The show brings together photography, painting, film, sculpture, and clothing that defined British culture during this time period.

Titled "The '90s: Art and Fashion," the exhibition is curated by Edward Enninful, who has assembled an impressive array of works from prominent artists and designers. Expect to see pieces from Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst, Corinne Day, and Juergen Teller, among others.

Meanwhile, fashion photographer Rafael Pavarotti is getting his due at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris with a solo exhibition dedicated to his work. "Rafael Pavarotti. Photographer" offers a closer look at the Brazilian artist's ability to make images linger.

The opulence of Frédéric Boucheron's designs will be on full display when Christie's New York hosts an upcoming exhibition featuring trailblazing pieces from 1858 onwards.

Over 200 prints will be on display at Christie's New York, showcasing the work of Frédéric Boucheron in his role as a magazine cover artist, fashion campaign photographer, and portraitist to international stars.

Among those featured are Rihanna, Harry Styles, and Beyoncé, offering a glimpse into the creative process behind some of the most iconic images of recent years. The exhibition will also delve into the influences that have shaped Boucheron's distinctive style, from his upbringing in the Amazon to the women who have been part of his life.

Meanwhile, the Tom of Finland Foundation is presenting 'Packed for Pleasure' at a Paris location, where an array of artworks and archival materials explore the tension between artistic expression and censorship.
