Ida, which gained the Monroe County Fair Softball Tournament final summer season, opened its protection of its title in spectacular trend on Sunday, July 12.

Coach Travis Lusky’s crew logged a pair of victories on opening day, cruising previous Whiteford 12-2 and Mason 15-0.
“We have both of our pitches back,” Lusky stated. “If we throw strikes, we are going to be tough to beat.”

That robust pitching is backed by a formidable assortment of 12 and beneath gamers.
“We’re still a young team,” Lusky stated. “Half of our girls can play again next year.”
The event continues Monday on the Fairgrounds Diamond of S. Raisinville Rd. with two elimination video games.
Dundee will play Mason at 4 p.m. adopted by Monroe vs. Whiteford at 6.

Ellie Medley went 2-for-2 with a stroll and scored thrice to lead Monroe.
Ellie Jondro doubled and singled and Aubrey Steffy additionally collected two hits for the winners.
