With the Oklahoma City Thunder trio of Bennett Stirtz, Peyton Sanford, and Josh Dix eradicated from championship rivalry throughout 2026 NBA Summer League play on Thursday evening, former Iowa basketball standout Brendan Hausen is the lone remaining Hawkeye with title aspirations as his Memphis Grizzlies tackle the Houston Rockets in the semifinals tonight from Las Vegas.
Although Hausen solely performed 2 minutes in the staff’s 96-64 win over the Atlanta Hawks, the 6-foot-4 guard nonetheless poses as a possible offensive weapon for the Grizzlies, particularly after posting 20 factors on Tuesday evening.

If Hausen and the Grizzlies get previous the Rockets, they’ll play in the NBA Summer League Championship on Sunday, July 19, in opposition to both the Golden State Warriors or the Los Angeles Lakers.
