University of Seoul and KIST Sign Agreement for Future Science and Technology Collaboration

The University of Seoul is ready to function a “University-Research Institute Specialized Program” in cooperation with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST, President Oh Sangrok), geared toward securing nationwide strategic applied sciences and nurturing future consultants in science and know-how.

On the twenty sixth, the University of Seoul and KIST introduced, “On the 8th, a memorandum of understanding was signed at the University of Seoul Main Building, with the heads of both institutions in attendance, to promote core future technology research and foster outstanding talent.”

The key facet of this settlement is to determine a joint analysis system between the College of Engineering on the University of Seoul and the Clean Hydrogen Convergence Research Center at KIST, which can function the inspiration for working the “University-Research Institute Specialized Program.”

Both establishments plan to transcend easy educational exchanges by constructing a field-oriented training mannequin that allows college students to take part in large-scale analysis tasks and expertise the event of elementary applied sciences firsthand.

Furthermore, beginning with the hydrogen sector, the establishments plan to develop their collaboration into superior science and know-how fields akin to AI, semiconductors, and biotechnology.

Won Yonggeol, President of the University of Seoul, said, “This agreement with KIST, which leads the advancement of science and technology in Korea, will be a significant opportunity to elevate our university’s research competitiveness. Through practical joint research and the operation of the University-Research Institute Specialized Program, we will actively support students in gaining hands-on experience with large-scale national research projects and growing into key talents who will lead future emerging industries.”

Oh Sangrok, President of KIST, commented, “This will serve as a model case of collaboration, combining the mission-driven research capabilities of government-funded research institutes with the excellent educational infrastructure of the University of Seoul.
