The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has indefinitely suspended two workers members of its Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering over their alleged involvement in extortion and breaches of the establishment’s rules.
The affected workers members are Collins Ojeh and Emmanuel Eze.
Their suspensions are contained in separate letters addressed to them and signed by the registrar of the college, Ambrose Ugwu, on Saturday in Enugu.
The college mentioned the motion adopted the report and suggestions of a committee established to analyze allegations towards the two workers members.
According to the letter addressed to Mr Ojeh, the vice-chancellor, on behalf of the college administration, accredited his indefinite suspension with out pay with impact from July 20, 2026.
The college mentioned the choice was based mostly on the committee’s findings concerning his alleged involvement in reported circumstances of extortion and breaches of the college’s rules.
It said that Mr Ojeh was directed to instantly hand over all college property in his possession to the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
