Three Indian American engineers are among the many winners of the 2025–2026 Asian American Engineer of the Year Award (AAEOY), honoring distinguished Asian American professionals throughout academia, public service, and trade.

Dr. Arun Majumdar, inaugural Dean of the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, Stanford University, obtained the Distinguished Leadership in Science and Technology Award.

He is the Jay Precourt Provostial Chair Professor at Stanford University, a college member of the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Energy Science and Engineering, a Senior Fellow and former Director of the Precourt Institute for Energy and Senior Fellow (courtesy) of the Hoover Institution. He can be a college in Department of Photon Science at SLAC.

Dr. Majumdar obtained his bachelor’s diploma in Mechanical Engineering on the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1985 and his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in 1989.

Dr. Indradeep Ghosh, CEO, Fujitsu Research of America, Sunnyvale obtained the Executive of the Year Award.

Ghosh heads Fujitsu’s analysis efforts in North America and leads a crew of researchers doing leading edge analysis in AI, Quantum computing and Convergence applied sciences. He has been working in industrial R&D for over 25 years in varied areas of {hardware} and software program evaluation, high quality assurance and optimization.

Ghosh obtained the Bachelor of Technology diploma in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and the MA and PhD diploma in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.

Dr. Sakun Duwal, Manager, R&D Science and Engineering, Sandia National Laboratories, obtained the Most Promising Engineer of the Year Award. She has a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Washington State University and a bachelor’s diploma in Chemistry from University of Wyoming.

The AAEOY Award has been introduced yearly since 2002 as a cornerstone of the National Engineers Week program. Since its inception, the AAEOY has acknowledged over 300 honorees, together with 9 Nobel Laureates, pioneering students, outstanding company executives, and an astronaut.

The 2025-2026 AAEOY Award and Conference can be hel on the Santa Clara Convention Center on Sept. 18-19, 2026.
