A new luxury travel service has made its way to Dallas and Miami, promising to revolutionize the way commercial fliers experience air travel.

The service, offered by PS, allows passengers to skip airport lines entirely and be whisked away to their own private terminal, where they can relax in style while waiting for their flight.

Upon arrival at the airport, a chauffeur will meet passengers on the apron and transport them across the airfield, passing rows of planes waiting at their gates. This exclusive experience is available to commercial fliers, not just those flying private.

PS's new 12,200-square-foot terminal at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is a sleek and luxurious space that rivals even first-class airport lounges. The terminal offers an array of amenities, including caviar and Champagne, goodie-filled drawers, marble sinks, and rainfall showers.

The bathrooms are particularly impressive, featuring Le Labo products, plush towels, and comfy robes, making it easy to forget that you're actually at the airport. And yet, this level of luxury comes with a fraction of the cost of flying private, making PS an attractive option for travelers looking to upgrade their experience.

The clientele for this exclusive service are typically premium business travelers, families, and individuals celebrating special occasions.

These travelers can save significantly on costs by choosing PS over private flying, as explained by Porter, who noted that a round-trip first-class ticket from LA to New York would cost around $4,000, whereas the same journey via private flight could reach upwards of $100,000.

PS has been expanding its services for over a decade and has undergone significant changes in recent years, including renaming itself PS in 2020 and opening terminals at various airports.

The company recently opened new terminals at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Miami International Airport (MIA), with the DFW location launching on June 1 and the MIA terminal following shortly thereafter.

Travelers can now experience the seamless airport journey that PS offers by departing from either of these two new locations, where they will be greeted at a dedicated facility and guided through the check-in process without having to navigate the main airport.

Travelers arriving at Dallas' new Private Sky (PS) terminal are greeted by opulent surroundings designed to evoke the feeling of a luxury hotel.

The terminal's interior was crafted by renowned designer Jean Liu to create an atmosphere that is both residential and upscale, complete with lavish amenities for guests to enjoy during their layover.

One such amenity is the Salon, a public lounge area boasting floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the tarmac below. This stylish space also features a 40-foot bar inspired by traditional Southern saloons.

As I settled in at The Salon, I was able to indulge in some delicious breakfast options, including blue cornbread from PS executive chef Matt Roman's menu. With comfortable seating and plenty of natural light, it's the perfect spot to catch up on work or simply relax before boarding my flight.

Behind the scenes, a dedicated Control Room coordinates with airlines, TSA, Customs and Border Protection, and flight crews to ensure a seamless experience for passengers, including advance notification in case of any delays.

The private terminal experience at PS continues to impress, with guests processed one by one for added convenience. If checking a bag is part of your travel plans, PS takes care of it, ensuring that your luggage is checked in on your behalf.

From the moment you arrive, the personalized service continues unabated. A car whisked me away from the terminal and deposited me at the jet bridge, where I walked up a set of steps to enter the plane through a door directly into my seat.

Upon arrival in Miami, I was familiar with the PS routine by then, having experienced it previously. As I disembarked, I noticed a sign bearing my name waiting for me at the jet bridge, a thoughtful touch that made the process even smoother.

The PS terminal in Miami is a significant expansion of its Dallas counterpart, covering an impressive 34,000 square feet. The design of this terminal stands out from its Dallas counterpart due to its unique architectural history and restoration.

The original features of this historic terminal have been preserved, giving it a unique character that sets it apart from its Dallas counterpart. The Pan Am logo is engraved into the stone wall, a nod to the building's rich history.

Each Private Suite has its own distinct atmosphere, with vintage touches and nods to the beach. My suite had a pink theme, complete with palm tree wallpaper and capiz shell chandeliers that added to the tropical ambiance.

The courtyard is an open-air oasis, with a decorative pool designed by Miami artist Nina Surel in Art Deco pastels. The area is equipped with comfortable loungers and fringed umbrellas, creating a relaxing atmosphere for guests.

Upon entering my Private Suite, I was greeted with a range of amenities, including a fresh food menu tailored to the glitzy city's tastes. Options included sashimi with cilantro dust, caviar and Champagne, and even a cubano sandwich.

Guests can also indulge in spa treatments, such as chair massages or reflexology, at an additional cost. With 30-minute sessions available, visitors can unwind before their next flight, all while enjoying the luxurious surroundings of the Private Suite.

The top-tier All Access Membership offers significant cost savings for frequent travelers, reducing access rates to the Salon to $895 per person and Private Suite rates to $3,650 per year.

In contrast, non-members must pay a higher fee of $1,295 per person to enter the Salon or $4,950 for a Private Suite booking. This highlights the financial benefits of investing in an All Access Membership for those who regularly use these exclusive services.

It's worth noting that parties with underage members are required to book a Private Suite due to the Salon's age restriction of 21 and over. Additionally, pets are welcome in all PS private terminals, adding flexibility for travelers with furry companions.

Ultimately, Porter advises travelers to consider their individual needs before deciding whether an All Access Membership is worthwhile: if you're traveling solo, have no checked bags, and are taking a short flight, the airport may be sufficient; otherwise, it's hard to fully appreciate the value of PS until experienced firsthand.
