President Donald Trump on Wednesday attended the dignified switch of four US soldiers who have been lately killed within the conflict with Iran.
1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25; Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19; and Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad, 28, have been killed as a part of an Iranian assault on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, was killed throughout a managed detonation of a downed Iranian drone in Iraq, the Defense Department stated.
Trump met privately with the troopers’ households earlier than the switch, and he invited Feehan’s kin to fly with him aboard Air Force One as they headed to Georgia.
Reflecting on the dignified transfer hours later, Trump honored the fallen and instructed a crowd in Marietta, Georgia, that it was “very tough to watch, to be honest with you, very tough. I think it’s the toughest thing I do.”
