According to a report from Filipino startup Packworks, sari-sari shops that used its AI-powered Store Insighting Project (SIP) noticed a 79% soar in median sales for prime merchandise, based mostly on evaluation of over 1 million month-to-month transactions throughout Packworks’ community of 300,000 micro-retailers. Packworks reports that median gross merchandise worth (GMV) per store elevated from P187,229 to P335,818, seasonal-product GMV rose 47%, and slower-moving-product GMV rose 96% from P7,361.60 to P14,429. Packworks attributes the modifications to SIP-generated, store-level suggestions; the corporate developed SIP with help from the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD). Packworks CDO Andoy Montiel and cofounder Ibba Bernardo are quoted within the report, and a number of other store homeowners supplied firsthand feedback.
