Under a Sky of Stars: a distributed exhibition in Valle d’Aosta

The exhibition Under a Sky of Stars. Constellations of artwork, sciences and cultures creates a dialogue between modern artwork and scientific analysis, focusing on how expertise reshapes each the panorama and our notion of the sky. Organized throughout a number of venues in Valle d’Aosta, the undertaking addresses matters equivalent to area missions, satellite tv for pc use, synthetic intelligence and aerial management techniques.
Featured artists and installations
- Michelangelo Pistoletto and Mimmo Paladino are among the many main artists;
- Works by Grazia Toderi, Gilberto Zorio, Daniela Pellegrini and Franco Perrotti;
- The everlasting set up Orbita by Massimo Uberti anchors the central part.
Exhibition venues
The exhibition path is organized throughout 4 essential places:
- Castello Gamba – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Châtillon: hosts “Stazione orbitante. Traiettorie espressive del contemporaneo”, targeted on gentle, cosmic trajectories and the relations between people, the universe and expertise;
- MegaMuseo in Aosta: presents “Archeologies of the future sky. Temporal landscapes between microcosm and macrocosm”, combining archaeology, matter, vitality and representations of the universe;
- Les Maisons de Judith in Val Ferret (Courmayeur): dedicates a part to Michelangelo Pistoletto;
- Waldensian Church in Courmayeur: options Franco Perrotti’s undertaking “Dissuader”, reflecting on the transformation of the sky into a technologically ruled area.
Programme and talks
Complementing the exhibitions, the undertaking contains a collection of talks and occasions with scientists, astronauts, archaeologists, philosophers and theologians to debate area exploration, sustainability and the anthropization of the sky. These actions intention to supply interdisciplinary views alongside the artworks.
