Born in Paris and based mostly in Tokyo, I’m a curator, photographer, and the inventive director of Galerie 21, an area devoted to craft tradition and objects formed by time. I’ve lived in Japan for almost a decade and based Sillage, an attire model produced completely in Japan in collaboration with main factories. I later established a inventive company working with worldwide manufacturers on style imagery and storytelling, and went on to open Galerie 21, the place antiques and up to date works coexist by way of the shared values of sturdiness and which means. Across clothes, objects, and pictures, my work constantly explores the traditions of journey and the quiet energy of handmade issues. —Nicolas Yuthanan Chalmeau, Founder of Sillage and Galerie 21
