Three science and technology universities get new VCs
The authorities has appointed new vice-chancellors to 3 science and technology universities — Patuakhali University of Science and Technology, Pirojpur University of Science and Technology and Lakshmipur University of Science and Technology.
The Ministry of Education’s Secondary and Higher Education Division issued separate notifications on Monday, June 8.
According to the notifications, Professor S M Hemayet Jahan of the Department of Entomology below the Faculty of Agriculture has been appointed because the new vice-chancellor of Patuakhali University of Science and Technology. He was serving because the pro-vice-chancellor of the identical college.
Professor Mohammad Sbirul Islam Hawlader of the Department of Arabic at Rajshahi University has been appointed as vice-chancellor of Pirojpur University of Science and Technology.
Professor Mohammad Hanif Murad of the Department of Applied Mathematics at Noakhali University of Science and Technology has been appointed as vice-chancellor of Lakshmipur University of Science and Technology. He was serving because the treasurer of Noakhali University of Science and Technology.
The notifications said that the tenure of the three vice-chancellors can be 4 years from the date of becoming a member of.
