DTO/NDO- Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has issued a directive urging ministries, businesses and localities to speed up the implementation of science, know-how, innovation and digital transformation duties in 2026 and guarantee full disbursement of allotted funding by year-end.
Directive No. 29/CT-TTg says Viet Nam has made encouraging preliminary progress in implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on science, know-how, innovation and nationwide digital transformation, contributing to socio-economic growth and incomes worldwide recognition.
However, many duties stay not on time or overdue, whereas price range disbursement, notably for digital transformation, has been sluggish as a result of incomplete insurance policies, weak implementation, restricted capability on the grassroots stage and inadequate management in some businesses and localities.
To tackle these shortcomings, the directive requires strict implementation of the Party’s main insurance policies, notably Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Conclusion No. 18-KL/TW adopted on the second plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee, whereas reaffirming science, know-how, innovation and digital transformation as key drivers of productiveness, competitiveness and sustainable financial development.
Under the directive, the PM instructed ministers, heads of ministerial-level businesses and provincial and municipal leaders to deal with science, know-how, innovation and digital transformation as a high political precedence, stressing that faster disbursement should go hand in hand with effectivity, transparency and the prevention of waste and corruption. Agency heads will probably be held straight accountable for implementation progress and price range execution.
The Ministry of Science and Technology has been tasked with reviewing and proposing amendments or new insurance policies to create a extra beneficial setting for scientific and technological growth, innovation and digital transformation by the fourth quarter of 2026.
