The winners might be revealed in a ceremony at Hinxton Hall Conference Centre, on the Wellcome Genome Campus, this night (Thursday, 7 May).
Now of their ninth yr, the awards are a celebration of the unimaginable achievements of the science and expertise sectors in the Cambridge area, from biotech to cleantech, AI to medtech and past.
Following a networking reception, about 300 company will enter the Francis Crick Auditorium to find the winners of this yr’s awards throughout 16 classes, together with the very particular Lifetime Achievement Award.
The awards ceremony may also be livestreamed (see above) for these unable to make it in particular person. And the full listing of finalists might be discovered under.
Joining the stellar cast of sponsors this yr is Brookgate, the improvement firm enjoying a key position in the ecosystem. It is supporting the CEO of the Year class.
A spokesperson stated: “Brookgate is proud to support the Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards, celebrating the innovation, research and entrepreneurship that drive this world-leading ecosystem.
“10 Station Road, a stone’s throw from Cambridge Railway Station, has been created with Cambridge’s most innovative businesses in mind, with flexible office space available now. Occupiers of this highly sustainable building will join a global tech cluster anchored by Apple, Amazon, Microsoft and Samsung AI, benefiting from exceptional connectivity and a prime location within the city’s central business district.”
Also becoming a member of the sponsors is the Wellcome Genome Campus, the place there are thrilling growth plans.

It is supporting the Tech for Good Award.
A spokesperson stated: “Supported by one of the largest contemporary investments in the UK’s life sciences infrastructure, the campus is growing from 125 to 440 acres over the next few years. Approved expansion plans integrate historic buildings, parklands and wetlands, with contemporary labs, R&D and commercial spaces, new homes, health, hospitality, sports and community uses, creating a global destination for innovation and collaboration in science and technology. The first phase is under way and will be complete by 2028.”
Editor Paul Brackley, who will host the awards ceremony, stated: “The Science and Technology Awards promise to be as inspiring and uplifting as ever. The standard of nominations was outstanding – and the stories of ingenuity that we will tell our guests will demonstrate once again why Cambridge is such a beacon of innovation.”
