New Delhi, May 7, 2026:  The CSIR–National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) to improve cooperation in science, expertise, innovation coverage, and science diplomacy.

The settlement goals to promote joint analysis, coverage evaluation, capability constructing, information sharing, and collaborative outreach in areas associated to science coverage, science communication, diplomacy, and conventional information techniques. The partnership can even deal with inclusive and sustainable growth by joint publications, coverage dialogues, workshops, and coordinated tasks.

Speaking on the event, Director General of RIS, Prof. Sachin Kumar Sharma, highlighted science diplomacy as a crucial software for addressing international challenges akin to local weather change, well being safety, and expertise inequality. He emphasised the function of the Global South in shaping future scientific governance and outlined RIS initiatives together with coaching applications below ITEC, iGOT Karmayogi, and the Forum for Indian Science Diplomacy.

Director of CSIR-NIScPR, Dr. Geeta Vani Rayasam, described the collaboration as a mutually useful initiative for the Global South. She famous that the partnership would deal with structured working teams and joint publications, supported by NIScPR’s strengths in science communication, coverage analysis, and dissemination of scientific information by open-access journals and innovation-driven analysis.
