The (*25*) has simply issued Decree No. 225/2026/ND-CP stipulating the features, duties, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology (S&T).
The Decree clearly stipulates that the Ministry of Science and Technology is the company of the (*25*), performing the perform of state administration of scientific analysis actions, know-how growth, innovation, high-tech growth, strategic technology, development of S&T potential; mental property; requirements and technical rules, measurement, product and items high quality; atomic power, radiation and nuclear security; postal companies; telecommunications; radio frequencies; digital know-how trade; software of data know-how; synthetic intelligence; digital transactions; nationwide digital transformation; state administration of public companies underneath the administration of the ministry in accordance with the regulation.
The organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology consists of:
1. The Post Office.
2. Department of Technology Assessment and Appraisal.
3. Department of Science and Technology.
4. Department of Social Sciences and Nature.
5. Department of Digital Economy and Digital Society.
6. Department of International Cooperation.
7. Department of Planning – Finance.
8. Legal Department.
9. Department of Organization and Personnel.
10. Ministry Office.
11. National Standards, Metrology and Quality Commission.
12. Radio and Nuclear Safety Department.
13. Central Post Office Department.
14. National Digital Transformation Authority.
15. Department of Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
16. Department of Innovation.
17. Department of Startups and Technology Enterprises.
18. Intellectual Property Office.
19. Radio Frequency Department.
20. Department of Information, Statistics and Scientific Assessment.
21. Telecommunications Authority.
22. Academy of Strategy for Science and Technology.

The units laid out in Clauses 1 to 21 of this Article are administrative organizations aiding the Minister in performing state administration features; the units laid out in Clauses 22 to 25 of this Article are public non-business units serving the state administration features of the Ministry.
The Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety is a kind 1 Department. The Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety and the National Standards, Metrology and Quality Committee are allowed to use the nationwide emblem seal.
The Minister of Science and Technology submits to the Prime Minister for promulgation an inventory of different public non-business units underneath the ministry.
The Minister of Science and Technology stipulates the features, duties, powers and organizational structure of units underneath the ministry according to their authority.
Academy of Strategy for Science and Technology, Vietnam Science and Technology Magazine; Department of Social Sciences, Humanities and Nature, Department of Digital Economy and Society, Department of Information and Statistics, Department of Information Technology Industry, Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety, Information Technology Center proceed to carry out duties and powers according to the provisions of regulation till the Minister of Science and Technology points a Decision stipulating the features, duties, powers and organizational structure of Academy of Strategy for Science and Technology, Vietnam Science and Technology Magazine, Department of Social Sciences and Nature, Department of Digital Economy and Digital Society, Department of Information, Statistics and Scientific Assessment, Department of Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety, Digital Transformation Center.
This Decree takes impact from July 1, 2026 and replaces Decree No. 55/2025/ND-CP dated March 2, 2025 of the (*25*) stipulating the features, duties, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
