Newcastle winger Anthony Elanga says he’s returning to the membership “in a really good place” after the World Cup.
Elanga endured a tough first season with the Magpies after his £55m transfer from Nottingham Forest final summer time, failing to attain in 32 Premier League appearances, however scored twice on the World Cup for Sweden as they exited on the spherical of 32 stage.

“I feel like I’m in a really, really good place – house in order, everything’s good, family are good.
“For me, bodily, I really feel the best I’ve ever felt. I simply really feel able to go. I’ve come again for the brand new season and it would not really feel like I’ve been away. I’m able to play, I’m able to play as quickly as potential. If potential, I wish to play in opposition to Bristol City. I’ve solely been right here two days, however that is how I really feel. I really feel sharp. I really feel good. I really feel fast, robust. I simply wish to go on the market and present it.
“I’ve grown a lot as a player, as a person. I’ve learned a lot from what I did last season. I’ve reflected a lot and I’m a different player now, I’m a different person from last year, from yesterday. I always try to forget about the past, but learn from it, and move forward for what’s ahead. There are exciting times ahead. I’ve just got to focus on the things that I can control.

“I do know final season wasn’t the way in which I needed it to go, or what I had deliberate in my head. But I do know the kind of participant I’m. I do know what I’m able to doing, so it is all about specializing in the now, staying current for the current and shifting ahead with confidence and precision. I’m prepared for this season to start out.”
