■ The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) of Korea introduced on the sixth that it has chosen 18 projects for the “2026 GovTech Startup AI Pilot and Commercialization Support Program,” which brings cutting-edge personal synthetic intelligence (AI) applied sciences into the general public sector to reinforce nationwide public companies, resolve regional and social points, and drive innovation in public infrastructure. Seven projects, together with an AI-based pre-screening platform for public paperwork, 5 projects akin to an AI visitors management system to stop gridlock at intersections, and 6 projects together with an AI-based next-generation freeway drainage design verification system had been chosen. These projects will pilot AI applied sciences and options throughout a variety of public-sector demand sources.
■ The University of Science and Technology (UST) introduced on the sixth that it held the superior bio monitor of its training program “UST Global Alpha Class,” that includes lectures delivered straight by main students from around the globe, over 5 days from June 29 to July 3. Lectures got by Raju Kucherlapati, endowed professor at Harvard Medical School; Palani Palaniappan, a key researcher within the Human Genome Project (HGP) and founder and CEO of superior bio startup Aridica; and Bryan Pollock, chair of the board on the bio-innovation platform firm InVivo Biosystems. The three students delivered omnibus-style lectures, every talking for one hour per day over 5 days, for a complete of three hours of instruction.
