■ KAIST introduced on the twenty sixth that it’ll establish the “Human Physical Intelligence Technology Center” for joint analysis with NVIDIA in the sector of Physical Artificial Intelligence (Physical AI). This collaboration goals to safe next-generation core applied sciences for Physical AI by combining KAIST’s collected human-centered robotics applied sciences and real-world movement knowledge with NVIDIA’s AI applied sciences and international analysis community. KAIST’s Department of Mechanical Engineering and its Human Physical Intelligence Research Center will function the first hubs for the joint analysis, with Professors Jung Kim and Kyungchul Kong of the KAIST Department of Mechanical Engineering collectively directing the middle. The first-phase aim of the collaboration is to construct a “human motion foundation model” that may be taught large-scale human movement knowledge to know, predict, and newly generate human actions. The companions plan to develop cooperation throughout all the Physical AI spectrum, together with wearable robots, humanoids, digital twins, and manufacturing. NVIDIA, led by Charles Cheng, Senior Manager on the AI Technology Center, will present technical advisory assist and developer help, and may even run analysis and teaching programs using NVIDIA Omniverse and its digital twin platform. The two establishments will kind an working committee to evaluation analysis targets and outcomes each six months, and will promote researcher exchanges and expertise growth by means of worldwide symposia and a pupil ambassador program.
