According to Brad Crawford of CBS Sports, a reunion between wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and the Kansas City Chiefs would repair points for the place group forward of the 2026 season.
“Hopkins played 10 games for the Chiefs during the 2024 season, finishing with 41 catches for 437 yards and four touchdowns after he was traded by the Tennessee Titans,” wrote Crawford. “A return to Kansas City would mean Hopkins could settle into a complementary role as a dependable possession receiver behind Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and others. For a franchise with annual Super Bowl aspirations expecting Patrick Mahomes back for camp, welcoming back a proven playmaker like Hopkins on a team-friendly deal feels like a low-risk move.”

“I knew we were getting a good player to play against him quite a bit, but I didn’t know the leadership part,” stated Chiefs head coach Andy Reid to reporters about Hopkins earlier than Super Bowl LIX. “He’s been tremendous that way. He hasn’t complained that we’re spreading the ball around or utilizing other guys along with him. He’s willing to share in that way.”
The five-time All-Pro wide receiver spent final season with the Baltimore Ravens. He completed the 2025 season with 22 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns.
