The Virginia Tech Hokies aren’t losing any extra time. Shortly after VT employed Brian White as athletic director final month, he introduced alongside his prime assistant, Ryan Gottlieb, as the brand new Deputy Athletics Director and Chief Strategy Officer.

Then, White employed Brad Bell as the brand new Executive Associate Athletics Director of Advancement and Executive Director.

Gottlieb and Bell, like White, are generally known as glorious fundraisers, displaying a large shift in Virginia Tech’s philosophy. The Hokies are not reacting to strikes being made round them. This week, White made another big hire, naming Mary Giardina as Virginia Tech’s new Deputy Athletics Director and Chief of Staff. Giardina comes over from West Virginia, the place she served as govt senior affiliate athletics director for student-athlete expertise, governance and compliance.

Giardina brings a wealth of expertise to Blacksburg, having beforehand served at Florida Atlantic with White and Gottlieb. Giardina additionally frolicked at Duke, the place she was the chief director of compliance.
