Bangladesh training ministry on Thursday appointed new vice-chancellors to 10 public universities, together with Barishal University, the place a whole shutdown by the lecturers is ongoing for the fourth day, demanding the removing of the vice-chancellor and promotions.
The different 9 universities are Islamic University, Comilla University, Begum Rokeya University, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Noakhali Science and Technology University, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology, Rangamati Science and Technology University, Pabna Science and Technology University and Jamalpur Science and Technology University.
The Secondary and Higher Education Division underneath the training ministry issued separate circulars concerning the appointments.
