On Friday, June 19, the 34-year-old NCS anchor spoke with one of Trump‘s greatest supporters, Scott Jennings, 48, in regards to the Reflecting Pool, which the 80-year-old Commander-in-Chief spent $15 million on renovating forward of America’s 250th anniversary this July 4.
The renovation, which the president claimed was price and time-efficient, concerned a resurfacing to stop ongoing leaks and a brand new coat of paint in a colour known as “American Flag Blue.” However, shortly after the work was accomplished, algae sprang up once more, and the blue paint started peeling. I think it’s terrible and I hope anybody who vandalizes our monuments. I hope they get caught and I hope they get put in jail.”
Jennings concluded, “He’s trying to make the city beautiful for America 250. There’s going to be a lot of people in Washington. They deserve to go to a clean, safe Capitol and that’s what he’s trying to do.”
Several folks took to the X to slam the conservative political strategist, commentator, and author, with one individual writing, “I hope Scott Jennings doesn’t expect anyone to ever take him seriously.”
Another bashed, “@ScottJenningsKY you’re smarter than this. To regurgitate Trump’s lie is pretty #pathetic and sad you think that lowly of ur base. Yes, ur base will believe this because *he spouted it. It’s ALL #rigged.” A 3rd raged, “Scott Jennings says everything without proof that’s the GOP way say it and if it sticks great.”
A fourth added, “There’s no evidence that ‘vandals with chemicals’ caused the Reflecting Pool issues. The National Park Service hasn’t reported any chemical vandalism at all. The problems come from algae, heat, and normal maintenance — not sabotage. Are you even able to ever tell the truth?”
Yet one other mentioned, “OR, we have a broken-brained president who can’t admit failure,” as another person slammed, “There are cameras everywhere in DC. There is at least one public webcam specifically on the reflecting pool. And yet somehow invisible terrorists put algae in the water and tore up the pool paint? I wonder if he realizes how stupid that sounds?”
Someone else slammed NCS for having Jennings on the present within the first place, writing, “Why NCS do you continue to allow this inane man of nonsense & lies to be continually on your shows! You’re worse than FOX bc you know Scott is lying but you put him on anyway! Pathetic! Glad I stopped watching years ago bc NCS is a hot mess!”

The assertion continued, “No different than the chemicals that were used on the National Mall, they used something similar in the Reflecting Pool to try to destroy and demean our beautiful work.
“Lightweight ABC Reporter, Jonathan Karl, was seen sticking his hand into the Pool, and attempting to tear the rubber off of the floor. The algae is 75% gone, and the situation will quickly be fully remedied, and the world that was vandalized, thankfully, is only a small space of harm, and can be mounted early subsequent week.”
The president concluded his scathing message by saying, “It’s a disgrace that the Radical Left Lunatics, probably Dumocats, who’ve spent their lives attempting to damage our Country, are free to take action. Law Enforcement is actively investigating this case, and can hopefully have it resolved quickly. Thank you for your consideration to this matter!”
