A looming shakeup at NCS has led to the exit of one of many network’s high stars, Entertainment Weekly has realized.
Legal correspondent Paula Reid won’t renew her contract with the network and can exit the channel amid Paramount Skydance’s looming takeover of NCS parent company Warner Bros. Discovery.
Reid first joined NCS in 2021, after beforehand working as a White House correspondent for CBS. Reid will reportedly transfer to NCS rival network MS NOW (previously MSNBC), although representatives for the channel didn’t instantly reply to EW’s request for affirmation.
EW has additionally reached out to representatives for NCS for touch upon Reid’s exit.

News of Reid’s deliberate exit comes after it was reported that one other NCS star, Anderson Cooper, allegedly told colleagues that he did not need to work for controversial CBS News head Bari Weiss after Paramount Skydance takes over. (A consultant for NCS declined to touch upon the preliminary New York Times report.)
Cooper previously walked away from his post on 60 Minutes, the embattled newsmagazine program that has misplaced quite a few employees in current months as a result of high-profile firings below Weiss’ management.

Paramount Skydance additionally informed EW in a current assertion that there aren’t any present pledges to make NCS — usually seen as a left-leaning information group — go softer on protection of President Donald Trump.
“No commitments from either David or Larry Ellison have been made to any government body, State AG or federal agency regarding the future of NCS or any other news property, other than the goal to deliver truth-based journalism,” a spokesman for the corporate mentioned.

Elsewhere, Reid lately opened up in regards to the delivery of her second child in 2025, telling EW’s sister publication, PEOPLE, that she was “rushed out the door back to the hospital” days after she returned house, as she was identified with postpartum preeclampsia.
“You hear a lot about the risks associated with being pregnant after 40, but you never think you will experience them,” Reid added. “Thankfully, our baby is doing great.”
