KOFST unveils 60th anniversary emblem and slogan highlighting future vision

The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST) has unveiled a commemorative emblem and slogan embodying its future vision to mark its 60th anniversary.

KOFST introduced on the 18th that it has finalized the emblem and slogan to commemorate its 60th anniversary in 2026. They had been chosen via a nationwide slogan contest held from April to May, an emblem choice survey, and deliberations by the “KOFST 60th Anniversary Future Strategy Committee.”

Founded in 1966, KOFST is the consultant group of Korea’s science and know-how group. It has 604 member organizations, together with 407 educational societies in science and know-how, and encompasses 13 regional federations and 20 abroad Korean scientists and engineers associations.

The emblem displays KOFST’s intention to carry collectively the various voices of its member organizations and science and know-how professionals and amplify their resonance towards science, know-how, and the future. The curve of the quantity “6” symbolizes KOFST as a central hub that embraces the voices of member organizations and scientists and engineers. Its open kind represents openness and inclusiveness.
