As a part of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s go to to Belgium, Science and Higher Education Minister Sayasat Nurbek held talks with Maria Cristina Russo, Deputy Director-General for Research and Innovation on the European Commission, and European Innovation Council (EIC) President Michiel Scheffer.

According to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, specific consideration was given to Kazakhstan’s efforts to advance its affiliation with the Horizon Europe program. The ministry famous that Kazakhstan views participation within the initiative as a strategic step towards increasing the involvement of home universities, analysis establishments and corporations in European analysis consortia, joint tasks and the European Research Area (ERA).

The discussions additionally coated deep-tech improvement, the commercialization of analysis, startup assist, synthetic intelligence purposes in science and business, and potential joint initiatives with European companions.

According to the ministry, the conferences marked an extra step towards increasing innovation cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU.

The ministry stated Kazakhstan goals to deepen its engagement with European analysis and innovation ecosystems by integrating home universities, analysis organizations, startups, and know-how corporations into joint networks and initiatives. Practical cooperation with the European Commission and the European Innovation Council is predicted to assist these efforts.

Earlier, it was reported that Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek held a sequence of conferences in Belgium to strengthen bilateral cooperation with the EU in science, larger training, and innovation.
