NEW DELHI: Technology-driven warfare is redefining nationwide security and India should stay forward of the expertise curve to safe its strategic pursuits, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh stated on Thursday.

Addressing senior officers on the National Defence College, Singh stated the convergence of synthetic intelligence, quantum applied sciences, biotechnology and house capabilities would form the future security panorama as warfare shifted more and more from typical fight to hi-tech strategic operations.

“Future military systems will increasingly rely on autonomous platforms, intelligent surveillance, predictive analytics, cognitive warfare capabilities and hyper-fast decision-making mechanisms,” he stated.

Referring to the altering nature of warfare, Singh stated that trendy conflicts are more and more being decided by technological superiority quite than bodily pressure alone.

He stated latest army operations the world over have demonstrated the decisive position of superior applied sciences, notably within the domains of house, communications, surveillance, precision methods and strategic decision-making.
