In a surprising twist forward of USA’s World Cup Round of 16 match against Belgium, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has confirmed that United States males’s nationwide staff striker Folarin Balogun might be eligible to play on Monday.

The 25-year-old ahead was dealing with an automated one-match suspension following a straight purple card through the USMNT’s 2-0 Round of 32 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 1.

Balogun was despatched off within the sixty fourth minute following a VAR assessment for a problem that stepped on the ankle of Bosnian defender Tarik Muharemovic—an offense categorised beneath “serious foul play.”
