The Chinese New Year in Shanghai was marked by the class of horses and the marvels of science, as the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum grew to become a preferred vacation spot for locals and vacationers.

Jointly organized by the museum in Shanghai and the Palace Museum, Galloping Wonders — Year of the Horse Science and Culture Special Exhibition opened on Feb 17, the first day of the Chinese New Year, marking the first pop-up exhibition since the Shanghai museum’s renovation and reopening.

Themed round horses, the exhibition explores pure evolution, human-horse coexistence, and future inspirations, providing a multidimensional showcase that blends cultural relics, organic specimens and digital interactions, including a singular scientific and cultural aptitude to the conventional Spring Festival festivities.

“As the first pop-up exhibition since the museum’s renovation, this event weaves together science and humanity,” says Ni Minjing, director of the museum.

The exhibition goes past merely displaying horses, tracing their pure evolution and reflecting the historical past of people and horses forging a splendid civilization. It additionally anticipates the future impacts of science and know-how on each horses and people.
