Science, expertise, and innovation take middle stage as soon as once more because the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office VIII (DOST VIII) gears up for the 2026 Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Week (RSTW) on July 15–17, 2026 at Robinsons North, Tacloban City. Anchored on the theme, “Science, Technology, and Digital Innovation Driving Food Security, Sustainable Energy, and National Resilience,” this 12 months’s celebration brings collectively authorities companies, tutorial establishments, trade companions, native authorities items, researchers, innovators, college students, and the general public in a three-day showcase of transformative applied sciences, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative initiatives.

STI Forum 1 explores improvements that strengthen meals safety and sustainable communities, whereas STI Forum 2 focuses on science-based options for resilient and adaptive communities. The collection concludes with STI Forum 3, which showcases rising applied sciences, digital improvements, and sustainable vitality options that help nationwide resilience and regional improvement.
Young innovators and future scientists can even be on the forefront of this 12 months’s celebration via the STEM Olympiad and eGames Competition, the place college students from throughout Eastern Visayas will reveal their information, creativity, and problem-solving abilities in science, expertise, engineering, and arithmetic. These actions mirror DOST’s persevering with dedication to nurturing the following era of Filipino scientists, engineers, innovators, and expertise leaders.
