SCIENCE CITY OF MUÑOZ (PIA) – The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) turned over P3.49 million in counterpart funding to Central Luzon State University (CLSU) to help the implementation of a synthetic intelligence (AI)-driven smart city project in the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.
The project, titled SCDI-Hub: AI-Driven Smart City Data Integration and Decision Intelligence Hub, is a collaborative initiative of DOST Nueva Ecija, CLSU, and the native authorities of the Science City of Muñoz underneath the Smart and Sustainable Communities Program (SSCP) of DOST Central Luzon.
According to DOST, the project seeks to determine a centralized determination intelligence platform that can combine AI and smart information applied sciences to help data-driven planning and governance, whereas strengthening collaboration between educational innovation and public administration.
Through the platform, the Science City of Muñoz is anticipated to reinforce catastrophe preparedness by predictive forecasting, optimize useful resource administration, enhance the supply of citizen-centered authorities companies, and information sustainable city improvement by evidence-based planning.

DOST Provincial Director Leidi Mel Sicat, along with SSCP Focal Person Aeron Bermudez, led the ceremonial turnover of the project funds.
CLSU Project Leader Marlon Naagas accepted the funding on behalf of the college, together with project group members Anazel Gamilla, Santi Ognita, and Mary Camille Rabang.
DOST mentioned the funding underscores the company’s dedication to selling science, expertise, and innovation in help of sustainable group improvement.
The company added that the collaborative implementation of the SCDI-Hub demonstrates how management and AI will help construct safer, extra responsive, and extra environment friendly communities.
