Las Vegas, Nevada – Three members of the Denison Athletics Communications crew have been honored for his or her laborious work to shut the 2025-26 12 months. Director of Athletics Communications Ashleigh Jones, Assistant Director of Athletics Communications and Digital Media Hailey Owens, and Denison Sports Network pupil employee Annie Kim have been all acknowledged in their respective areas.
Ashleigh Jones was offered with the Rising Star Award, an accolade delivered yearly to College Sports Communicators members in the University Division (NCAA DI) and in the College Division (NCAA DII, DIII, NAIA, Two-year Colleges, Canadian establishments) – with 10 years of service or much less, for his or her work at their establishment. She, alongside fellow recipient Lance McKenzie (University of Calgary), was acknowledged for his or her work in the athletics communications area who exemplify service, dedication, power, and enthusiasm to the career.

Jones began her journey at North Central College as a graduate assistant, then moved to DePauw University as an Assistant Director, and later to Associate Director of Athletics Communications. After 5 years, Jones had the chance to steer her personal crew because the Director of Athletics Communications at Denison University, a place she was employed for in January of 2025. In her brief time as a Big Red, Jones has been part of 5 nationwide championship groups, run a pupil workforce of over 50 college students in the Denison Sports Network, and oversaw seven NCAA postseason tournaments held in Granville.
Hailey Owens was acknowledged this previous December in the CSC 30 Under 30 Class of 2025. The honor acknowledges rising athletics communications professionals at all ranges of faculty sports activities in strategic, artistic, and digital areas. Owens was named an honoree amongst her friends from a number of divisions throughout the nation for her work in the artistic discipline.
Arriving in Granville in March of 2025, Owens has revamped Big Red athletics’ digital storytelling, elevating social media and graphics throughout a number of platforms. She has been a part of 5 nationwide championship groups, telling their tales by the Big Red athletics web site and social media, and has raised the bar for media in the athletics communications area.
Denison Sports Network pupil employee Annie Kim positioned in the highest three in Hype/Pre-Game Video and Video of the Year classes for her girls’s basketball Final Four hype video and National Champions hype video.
