Bengal Government to increase Inspire, Vigyan Jyoti, WISE and KIRAN schemes

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology (S&T), Dr Jitendra Singh held an in depth assembly with West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari in Kolkata. After the talks, it has been determined to implement all main central schemes associated to science, research, innovation and startups in West Bengal with quick impact.

Directors and representatives of scientific establishments working below the Ministry of Science and Technology in West Bengal attended the assembly.

The primary subject of debate was to create a coordinated framework between the Central and State Government for scientific research, innovation, biotechnology, clinical research, startup promotion and enlargement of science training throughout the state.

Dr Jitendra Singh mentioned that West Bengal has a powerful scientific and tutorial ecosystem. In this, establishments below the Ministry of Science and Technology are functioning throughout the state and contributing to superior research areas.

The assembly primarily mentioned the student-centric and women-centric schemes of the Department of Science and Technology in colleges and faculties of West Bengal. It was determined to increase flagship programmes like INSPIRE, INSPIRE Standard, Vigyan Jyoti, Kiran and WISE and implement them in a coordinated method to strengthen scientific mood, innovation and participation of scholars and ladies in S&T areas.

The Union Minister mentioned that integration of Central Scientific Schemes with academic establishments in West Bengal will assist in creating a powerful basis for innovation, scientific training and research-oriented expertise growth among the many youth.
