Teams from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology clinched the highest honours on the CSE Carnival 2026, underscoring the establishments’ dominance in aggressive coding and innovation.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology organised the two-day carnival in collaboration with bKash Limited, in line with a press launch.
The occasion featured an inter-university programming contest and hackathon, highlighting technical experience, analytical expertise and innovation-driven problem-solving.
A complete of 120 teams from 80 private and non-private universities participated within the programming contest, whereas 50 teams showcased sensible options in the course of the hackathon.
In the programming contest, the “Silver Hawks” from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology emerged as champions. Another workforce from the identical college, “Supernova”, completed as first runner-up, whereas “Jyotichashi” from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology took second runner-up.
The prime 20 programming teams obtained awards on the closing ceremony.
In the hackathon, “GNG” from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology claimed the championship. “Nexus” of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology grew to become first runner-up, whereas “Arekta Team”, comprising college students from three universities, secured second runner-up.
