MINISTER of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr Blade Nzimande, is ready to formally announce the launch of South Africa’s inaugural National Science Month.
The announcement will probably be made throughout a media briefing in Tshwane on Monday, 29 June.
The launch marks a major milestone in South Africa’s drive to promote public engagement with science, expertise, and innovation (ST&I).
The first-ever National Science Month is ready to formally start on 4 July on the Vaal University of Technology.
National Science Month is being launched as an enlargement of National Science Week, one of many Department of Science, Technology and Innovation’s flagship science engagement programmes that has been working since 2000.
