On September 27, the World New Energy Vehicle Development Organization (WNEVDO) was formally established.
The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by Wan Gang, Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and President of the World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC), Yu Junqing, Secretary of the CAST Secretariat, Zhu Huarong, Chairman of WNEVDO, Hou Fushen, Vice Chairmen of WNEVDO, and Chris MASON, Vice Chairmen of WNEVDO, and Jochen GOLLER, director of BMW Group representing member organizations. Zhang Xuming, Secretary-General of WNEVDO, presided over the ceremony.
Co-founded by the China Society of Automotive Engineers, China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd., and the FISITA (International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies), WNEVDO goals to facilitate the inexperienced and clever transformation of the automotive business whereas selling sustainable growth. It will set up a “five-in-one” growth framework to unite international automotive stakeholders, serving as a pivotal platform for worldwide multilateral cooperation and industrial governance.
The institution of WNEVDO marks a brand new begin for international collaborative growth within the new power automobile sector. Moving ahead, WNEVDO will stay dedicated to advancing the inexperienced and clever transformation of the worldwide automotive business by means of collective motion.
The 2025 World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC 2025) is collectively hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology, Hainan Provincial People’s Government, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and arranged by the China Society of Automotive Engineers, Chebaihui Research Institute, Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Hainan Association for Science and Technology, and Haikou Municipal People’s Government. WNEVC 2025 will characteristic 3 plenary boards, 15 thematic periods, and a couple of high-level closed-door conferences. Discussions will heart on matters together with “NEV50@2035: Multiple Pathways & Collaborative Development,” “Cutting-edge Technologies & Integrated Innovation,” and “Hainan Free Trade Port & Global Automotive Industry Development Opportunities,” adopting a hybrid online-offline format for data trade.
