Workshop on cyber threats and digital defense held at RU

RAJSHAHI, Jan 31, 2026 (BSS) – A workshop on cyber threats and digital defense was held right now at Rajshahi University (RU).
Organized by the Science and Technology Department of the Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union (RUCSU), the workshop befell from 3:00 pm at the Senate Building.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Khan attended the occasion because the chief visitor whereas Treasurer Professor Matiar Rahman, Acting Registrar Professor Iftikharul Alam Masud, RUCSU Treasurer Professor Md. Setaur Rahman and Administrator of the Public Relations Office Professor Akhtar Hossain Majumder had been current as particular company.
At the workshop, Ruhul Amin, a PhD researcher at Marshall University within the United States, and Deputy Police Commissioner of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, Gaziur Rahman introduced the keynote papers on cyber threats and digital defense.
Students, researchers and info know-how personnel from varied departments of the college participated within the workshop.
Held with the cooperation of the RU Science Club, the workshop started with a welcome handle by RUCSU Science and Technology Secretary Tofael Ahmed Tofa, whereas Assistant Science and Technology Secretary Mujahidul Islam Saim performed the session.
