New Delhi, Nov 26 (PTI) IT providers main Wipro on Wednesday introduced its partnership with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and the Foundation for Science Innovation and Development (FSID) to advance research and innovation in frontier applied sciences.
The collaboration, which might be supported by Wipro Intelligence’s suite of AI-powered options, platforms, and choices, goals to drive breakthroughs in agentic AI, embodied AI, quantum AI, and quantum-safe options to assist enterprises construct safer, adaptive, and autonomous digital operations, Wipro mentioned in a press release.
The partnership builds on a longstanding relationship between Wipro and IISc, courting again to 1979 when the 2 establishments first partnered on the design and improvement of microprocessor-based mini-computer techniques.
Wipro and IISc will set up a collaborative research initiative focusing on quantum computing, subtle AI fashions, safe digital infrastructure, and modern autonomous community strategies. The programme will unite senior IISc school, researchers, and scientists with Wipro’s engineers and know-how consultants.
The groups will work on options with real-world influence, together with autonomous community intelligence for future 6G environments, agentic and embodied AI for manufacturing and robotics, and superior optimisation and safe computing fashions for monetary providers and significant infrastructure sectors.
“By combining the strengths of IISc in advanced technical research with Wipro’s experience in applied innovation and industry solutions, we aim to address some of the most complex challenges and high impact opportunities, that global enterprises face in an increasingly fast-evolving technology landscape,” Wipro Chief Technology Officer Sandhya Arun mentioned.
The partnership is anticipated to speed up the event of industry-ready platforms, scalable fashions, and new mental property, which might be made accessible to shoppers by Wipro’s WINGS and WEGA supply platforms as a part of the Wipro Intelligence suite.
For IISc, the alliance helps expanded research capability, deeper {industry} validation, and alternatives for know-how switch and commercialisation.
FSID, a non-profit arrange by IISc in 2020, connects stakeholders to IISc’s deep science and know-how experience.
