The 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics formally start with Friday’s Opening Ceremony. Festivities are set to start from Milan’s San Siro Olympic Stadium (dwelling of AC Milan) at 2 p.m. ET.

There might be two Olympic cauldrons for the primary time on the 2026 Games, one situated on the Arco della Pace in Milan, and the opposite at Piazza Dibona in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The two cauldrons are supposed to characterize “harmony between the two Host Cities and the territories of the distributed Games,” according to the official Olympics website.

Speed skater Erin Jackson and bobsledder Frank Del Duca might be the flagbearers for the United States. Altogether, the nations collaborating within the Games will seem in alphabetical order (in Italian), although Greece will go first as the unique web site of the Olympics, and host nation Italy will end the parade.

Mariah Carey will headline the performers for the Opening Ceremony, which additionally contains Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, singer-songwriter Laura Pausini, rapper Ghali, pianist Lang Lang and opera singer Cecilia Bartoli, along with actors Pierfrancesco Favino and Sabrina Impacciatore (whom American followers would possibly acknowledge from TV sequence “The White Lotus” and “The Paper”).

Along with festivities in Milan, ceremonies and parades that includes athletes will happen concurrently in Predazzo, Livigno and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
