William “Bill” Balestino, 76, Pittsburgh, previously of Altoona, entered into everlasting relaxation at dwelling Saturday after a brave battle with most cancers, along with his beloved spouse by his facet.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late William J. and Mary (Spagnoli) Balestino. On May 3, 1969, he married his highschool sweetheart, Patricia Loibl.
Surviving are his loving spouse, Trish; his daughters, Erica Balestino (Joseph) Drozinski of Pittsburgh and Andrea (Michael) Edleblute of Charlotte, N.C.; his beloved granddaughters, Brecken and Jordan Edleblute; two sisters, Nancy (Wayne) Bodden and Linda Butterbaugh; and plenty of nieces, nephews, cousins and pricey pals.
Bill was a 1967 graduate of Altoona Area High School and shortly after enlisted within the U. S. Air Force, the place he honorably served his nation throughout the Vietnam War. His dedication to service continued with two extra years within the U. S. Army Reserves. After his navy service, Bill devoted 36 years to the Conrail-Norfolk Southern Railroad, Altoona.
After retirement, he and Trish moved to Pittsburgh to be with their household. They additionally spent many winters with shut pals in St. Augustine, Fla. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh sports activities fan, particularly the Pirates, regardless of how badly they performed.
Friends can be obtained from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at Santella Funeral Home. Interment can be at Calvary Cemetery.
