With two weeks of WPIAL boys wrestling part duals remaining, sole possession of first place and a potential part crown is up for grabs in three Class 3A sections Wednesday.
• In Section 4-3A, North Allegheny (8-1) visits Seneca Valley (7-2) at 7 p.m. The Tigers and Raiders are each 2-0 in part matches. North Allegheny has gained the final three part matches towards Seneca Valley, together with final 12 months, 64-6.
• In Section 5-3A, Kiski Area (13-1) hosts Armstrong (8-1) at 7 p.m. The Cavaliers and River Hawks have gained each of their part duels. A 12 months in the past, Kiski Area gained at Armstrong, 46-26.
• In the four-team Section 6-3A, neighbors collide when North Hills (6-2) welcomes Shaler (2-0) at 7 p.m. With solely three part matches slated, the Indians and Titans each look to enhance to 2-0 in the part. The Gators are 7-5 total after beating McKeesport on Tuesday. Gateway is alone in first place in Section 1-5A, one sport forward of Franklin Regional.
Another intriguing matchup on the women aspect has Upper St. Clair visiting West Allegheny.
The reigning Class 6A champion Panthers are 6-7 this season below first-year coach Suzie McConnell-Serio, however they’ve gained three straight video games and are in third place in Section 2-6A.
The Indians are in second place in Section 3-5A, one sport behind front-running South Fayette.
West A is 10-3 this season and has gained 5 of its final six video games.
