Nov. 20 (UPI) — The documentary I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not is ready to premiere on NCS Jan. 1.
“From his Saturday Night Live beginnings to a string of classic comedies, Chevy Chase has always had huge comedic range,” a synopsis for the movie mentioned.
“He is also a complex and contradictory human being. Featuring revealing interviews with those closest to him, this documentary digs into the talent, flaws, and humanity that shaped an icon.”
A trailer for the movie in regards to the famously troublesome comedic genius contains interviews with Chase’s former co-stars together with Dan Aykroyd, Goldie Hawn and Martin Short.
“I’ve always loved a challenge, and Chevy certainly offered one. I wanted to understand the real person behind the guarded, conflicted man we’ve often seen on camera,” director Marina Zenovich mentioned in a press release Thursday.

“Beneath the bravado, I found someone deeply human, with layers of humor and emotion that make him far more complex than his public persona may suggest.”
Chase, 82, is a founding SNL forged member, who went on to star within the comedy blockbusters Caddyshack, Foul Play, Spies Like Us, the National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise and Fletch, in addition to the TV sitcom, Community.
