A Vietnamese scientist working in Sweden has been nominated for one in every of Vietnam’s most prestigious youth recognitions, Sinhviên Vietnam reports.

Dr. Pham Anh Tuan, a researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, has been nominated for the Outstanding Young Vietnamese of 2025 award in the sector of scientific analysis.

Born in 1991, Dr. Tuan focuses on geotechnical engineering and sustainable infrastructure. His analysis explores “energy foundations” – constructing foundations that may each help constructions and harvest geothermal power to warmth or cool buildings.

According to Dr. Tuan, such options may assist cities scale back power consumption, reduce carbon emissions, and strengthen infrastructure towards local weather challenges.

Dr. Tuan has printed 36 scientific articles in main worldwide journals, with most of them as the primary creator. His work has helped place him among the many prime 2 % of the world’s most influential scientists in rankings by Stanford University and Elsevier.

In 2025 he additionally obtained Vietnam’s Golden Globe Award for Science and Technology and the worldwide “Rising Star in Geotechnical Engineering” award.

Dr. Tuan has studied and labored in a number of international locations together with France, Japan, the United Kingdom and Sweden. He says he hopes to strengthen analysis collaboration with Vietnam and help younger Vietnamese scientists in the longer term.
