A vaccine used to treat chlamydia in Australia’s koala population has been accredited for rollout in a world-first challenge. Researchers from the University of the Sunshine Coast spent greater than 10 years growing the single-dose vaccine to guard the famed Australian marsupial from the results of chlamydia, which is accountable for half of koala deaths within the nation’s wild populations.
