“On Feb. 5, at the direction of #SOUTHCOM Commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations,” SOUTHCOM wrote on X, including that no US navy personnel have been harmed in the strike.
At least 119 folks have now been killed in strikes on suspected drug boats as a part of a marketing campaign, dubbed Operation Southern Spear, that the Trump administration has mentioned is geared toward curbing narcotics trafficking.
This is a creating story and will probably be up to date.
