The US army is holding two survivors on a Navy ship after the US carried out a Thursday strike on an alleged drug boat within the Caribbean, based on three US officers.
The strike, which has not been publicly acknowledged by the Trump administration, was the sixth identified strike on an boat allegedly concerned in drug trafficking. But it appeared to mark the primary time an assault had not killed everybody on board.
It is unclear what the US goes to do with the survivors being detained, the sources mentioned.
US Southern Command, which is chargeable for army operations within the area, referred NCS to the White House for remark. The White House didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
