HAMPTON, Virginia – UNCW senior Greedy Williams matched his career-high with 19 factors to go with seven assists because the Seahawks bounced again with a 75-67 victory at Hampton early Saturday at the Hampton Convocation Center.
The Seahawks upped their document to 18-3 and stand 7-1 in Coastal Athletic Association play. The Pirates dropped to 10-11 and a good 4-4 within the league.
Williams, who paced UNCW in scoring for the primary time this season, was joined in double figures by middle Patrick Wessler, who added eight rebounds to go with 16 factors. Seniors Nolan Hodge (13) and Noah Ross (12) joined the duo in double figures.
Hampton’s Daniel Johnson (17), Jalyke Gaines-Wyatt (14) and Josh Ogundele (11) mixed for 42 factors.
The Seahawks, who by no means trailed within the second half, created an eight-point cushion with 8:01 to go within the recreation with seven straight factors from Wessler following a Johnson three that made it a one-point recreation at the ten:28 mark.
