
“Ufuq”– Science and Technology Fest,” collectively organised by Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) Kerala and the Society for Education and Research (SER), will be held on January 25 and 26, 2026, at Aspen Courtyard close to Kozhikode Beach.
The two-day fest is envisioned as a platform for dialogue between society, science, and expertise at a time of speedy technological transformation. From Artificial Intelligence to rising scientific frontiers, Ufuq seeks to study how technological “progress” is reshaping social life, information methods, and political realities.
According to the organisers, the fest will foreground the moral, ideological, and political dimensions of science and expertise. Drawing inspiration from Islamic civilisational thought, Ufuq goals to deliberate on moral potentialities and accountable functions of scientific and technological developments.
A key focus of the fest will be a essential examination of the epistemological and structural challenges created by the unprecedented development of science and expertise. Programmes will be performed throughout three venues, providing house for reflection, debate, and interdisciplinary trade.
The organisers anticipate the participation of over 4,000 delegates, together with college students, researchers, academics, and specialists from various scientific and technological disciplines, representing greater than 100 campuses from throughout the nation.

The fest was formally introduced at a press convention attended by SIO Kerala president Abdul Wahid, competition director Shibin Rahman, and Niyas Velam, who outlined the goals and scope of the occasion.
