“He came out to visit me,” he explains. “He flew into Tashkent, Uzbekistan and we biked across Pakistan, Georgia and half of Turkey together.”
Swanson stresses that he doesn’t “really hold anything against” his buddy for deciding not to proceed with the remainder of the trip, and is trying ahead to assembly up with him once more when he returns residence.
“It takes a lot to spend two years doing that (riding through different countries),” he says. “Maybe he just wasn’t ready for that at the time.”
From Turkey, Swanson cycled to Greece, after which on to Italy, Switzerland and Germany.
At this level, he rode again to the Netherlands, the place he caught a flight to South America and spent 4 months using between Chile and Argentina, earlier than flying again to the US.
He arrived in Los Angeles in March 2023, and started making his means towards Minnesota.
