HCM CITY — Two new networks of coaching centres of excellence and expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Semiconductor Industry for the southern area have been formally launched on Saturday (October 18) in HCM City.
The HCM City University of Technology (HCMUT) beneath the Việt Nam National University-HCM City (VNU-HCM) hosted the launch convention, following Decision No. 374/QĐ-TTg issued on February 19, 2025, by the Prime Minister.
The resolution authorised a nationwide scheme to develop a system of coaching centres of excellence and expertise for Industry 4.0 applied sciences via 2030.
Speaking on the occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong, president of HCMUT, stated the college has been assigned to guide the institution and growth of those strategic networks in the South.
“The initiative aims to develop excellence – and talent-oriented training programmes, build leading R&D centres in AI and semiconductors, and propose breakthrough scientific and technological solutions to address national challenges.”
